Area of Focus: Supporting Education
Through a collaboration with the Rotary Club of Palatka and the Veterans Council of St. Johns County, the Council donated to all of the high school libraries in Putnam County copies of video documentaries they produced about veterans from the northeast Florida area. The formal presentation was at the school board meeting. Bill Dudley and Michael Rothfeld of the Council along with Dr. Dianne Taylor of the Rotary Club of Palatka presented the videos to the board for use in high school media centers. Mechele Higginbotham, principal at Crescent City High and Lynn Jones, media specialist at Interlachen High, were present to accept the videos for their schools
