Area of Focus: Growing Local Economies, Promoting Peace, Saving Mothers and Children, Supporting Education
Rotary District 6970 and Daytona State College have come together to sponsor a three-classroom bottle school in Guatemala. This school will provide poverty stricken communities with an educational platform that has the potential to change their lives.
Bottle schools are schools built using “eco-bricks”: plastic bottles stuffed with inorganic trash. Entire communities come together to build more sustainable educational infrastructure for their future.
